Molly Flynn’s tally with just under two minutes to play proved to be the game-winner as 5th seeded Rice defeated No. 4 BFA-St. Albans, 10-9, in a Division II high school girls lacrosse quarterfinal Monday.
Kasey Flynn paced the Green Knights with a hat trick while Annie Fisher added two goals and one assist. Katie Fisher, Katy Ranaldo, Christine Skeffington and Amanda Schwartz also scored. Sara Till stopped 17 shots for Rice, including a difficult save with under 30 seconds to play.
