To briefly explain a Calcutta to those that are unfamiliar, it is a fun evening with a fabulous dinner, dancing and the chance to win the grand prize of $1,000 cash or $1,200 off 2010-2011 tuition. The cost of attending (per couple) is $100. This not only covers your dinner, but buys you a “ball” with a number on it. Throughout the evening we pull a numbered ball out of a bag, and if your number is the last one drawn, you will win the grand prize! You have a 1:105 chance of winning the grand prize. We also have other fabulous prizes that will be given away throughout the evening.
We want to try to have as many prizes as possible so everyone will go home with something. We will need your help to accomplish this. We would like each athletic team to donate one basket that will either be given as a prize during the drawings or raffled off. Each team will be assigned a theme. Team parents will be contacting you with more information.
If you have a specific item you would like to donate or would like to make a cash donation, please bring to the office attention Mary Gagné by May 3.
